Job Description
Position: Sales & Marketing Representative
We are seeking motivated and results-oriented Sales & Marketing Representatives to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for promoting our medical equipment and healthcare products, developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities and supporting sales growth across Kenya.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell medical equipment, healthcare products and related solutions to hospitals, clinics, healthcare facilities, institutions and other customers.
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities across assigned territories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Conduct customer visits, site visits and product demonstrations.
- Understand technical product specifications and explain product features, benefits and applications clearly to clients.
- Prepare and submit quotations, sales reports and other required documentation.
- Follow up on leads, quotations and prospective customers to convert opportunities into sales.
- Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
- Work closely with the sales and management teams to achieve assigned targets.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, leads and sales activities.
- Attend exhibitions, conferences, meetings and other marketing activities when required.
- Travel countrywide for client meetings, site visits and business development activities.
- Provide professional after-sales support and maintain good customer relationships.
- Perform other sales and marketing duties assigned by management.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
Academic Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration or Business Management.
- Additional qualifications in healthcare, medical equipment or business development will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales and marketing.
- Previous experience in medical supplies, medical equipment or healthcare is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop new clients and maintain existing customer relationships.
- Experience working with institutional clients such as hospitals, clinics, healthcare facilities, NGOs or government institutions will be an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong sales and customer relationship management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Ability to identify and convert sales opportunities.
- Ability to understand technical product details and explain them clearly to clients.
- Good presentation and product demonstration skills.
- Good reporting and documentation skills.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented and able to work independently.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good knowledge of the Kenyan healthcare and medical supplies market will be an added advantage.
- Must be willing and able to travel countrywide for client and site visits.
- Valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
- Good computer skills and ability to use email, Microsoft Office and digital communication tools.
